Mask Plan

Kuanguka Wapiganaji

Kuanguka Wapiganaji   (Fall Warrior)

The Kuanguka Wapiganaji was made 10 centuries ago. This mask was created for the Grizzlee warriors of the Ziginy tribe in the Vita Kuu, Great War. This war began in the fall giving Opaque an idea for the mask he was to create. Opaque wanted the army to be hidden so he painted the mask red, yeallow and orange to blend in with the fall colours. Kuanguka Wapiganaji had more meaning behind it then it looked though. Opaque put three maple leafs on the mask representing their love for land, which is what they were fighting for. It was always a great honour to become a Grizzlee Warrior so Opaque connected feathers to the top of the mask showing their success in becoming a warrior. The Grizzleez all had to take an oath of secrecy and when at war are very quiet and use sneaky tactics. Most often the mouth is what makes the majority of noise on the human body so Opaque made the lips barely visible. From that point on the masks were sent out to be used but Opaque but almost immediately took them back. He added three steel rods, red, yellow and orange, covering the eyes and most of the Grizzleez did not understand and asked “why?” Opaque said “these are for more protection.” As the warriors started to exit the room they heard “WAIT! There is more to it.” The room was filled with Grizzleez. “These are more than just protection. These rods are a symbol of strength. They cannot be broken just like every one of you. You’re out of the ashes burning like a fire. You are Warriors. Stronger than you have ever been.”

Artists use exaggeration and distortion to send a
feeling or message to the person looking at the creation.

4.How can artists create monumental qualities without using large scale?

MIRROR ART!!!  !!!TRA RORRIM

For this assignment we had to draw our name and design it and that part was pretty easy. The hard part was replicating it but backwards. For this piece I drew my name in cursive. To design it I split it into four sections. The last section i made  looks like a checker board, the third sections is just shaded , and for the second section I used lines to make a nice deign. The design in the first section was my favorite section! It was inspired by my idol Demi Lovato. I put the name of her fandom 'Lovatics' and the Lovatic Heart. I also put the names of some of her songs and a line you see on hospital monitors to represent her single Heart Attack. This project was very difficult because it requires a lot of concentration and patients and creativity. I learned that even the most talented artists have trouble doing this as well. This project looks very simple at first but i soon learned it is VERY difficult.

SPACE!!
Today we learned about Three Dimensional Objects, The two types of relief sculpture, and positive and negative space.

Three Dimensional Space.
mane terms are Over, Under, Through, Behind, and Around.

Relief Sculpture
two types of this is High and Low.

Positive and Negative Space
Positive space is the main picture or structure that draws the viewers eye. Negative space is the space not drawn to our eyes and the space that breaks the positive. in his example Demi Lovato's face is the positive and the back ground is the negative.

My Value Drawing Of A Unknown Celebrity! VALUE!
I have learned that when drawing detailed art work you should not look at the picture thinking I need to draw a pair of lips or eyes and that you should focus on the value more and have the thought of drawing lips or eyes in the back of your mind instead of it being your main priority. if you do that it will all come together in the end.
